Want pictures of some real-life heroes to pin on your wall?
Turns out, you’ll soon get your wish, with the FDNY Foundation announcing this week that the FDNY "Calendar of Heroes" is making a comeback for 2026 — each month adorned with some of the healthiest and bravest the department has to offer.
The foundation, a nonprofit that raises funds to help the department buy equipment and provide lifesaving training, is bringing back the ever-popular calendar after a hiatus that began with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The FDNY Foundation has already asked city firefighters, paramedics and EMTs to submit photos for potential inclusion as the next monthly pinups.
On its website, the foundation notes the calendar will feature members who "embody peak fitness, resilience and top-tier wellness." It will cost a $25 donation to the FDNY Foundation.
"We’re very excited to bring this back," FDNY Foundation chairman Matthew J. DiLiberto said in a statement announcing the comeback. "It was one of the most in-demand items we have had, and we have gotten a tremendous response already."
