Three hurt in rush hour subway station melee in Jamaica
Three people were wounded in a fight Wednesday morning on the E train subway platform at the Sutphin Boulevard-Archer Avenue station in Jamaica, the MTA said.
Dina Saint-Fleur, 25, who may have been emotionally disturbed, was immediately taken into custody by MTA police following the 8:45 a.m. incident where she allegedly used a sharp object while attacking a couple, according to the MTA.
She allegedly got into a scuffle with the two of victims, Princess Llsop, 24, and her boyfriend, Antione Roddy, 34, inside the train and followed them after they got out of the subway.
"It may have began on the train and continued on the escalator," MTA spokeswoman Deirdre Parker said.
The third victim, Andres Nova, 42, was on the escalator and fell during the scuffle. All three victims were taken to Jamaica Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing, Parker said.
E and J trains were bypassing the Sutphin Boulevard-Archer Avenue station in both directions in the morning.
