Regarding "Airport needs parking" [Letters, Feb. 5], I appreciate the feedback but want to assure the public that Long Island MacArthur Airport will never become another LaGuardia. The airport infrastructure is well-equipped to handle additional flights without any disruptions to our passengers' current no-hassle experience.

Moreover, parking at MacArthur Airport is more than abundant for the airport's present needs and into the future. Our economy lot does occasionally fill up. In that event, travelers can park in the daily/long-term lot for a mere $1.50 additional charge each day.

The airport also boasts an overflow lot with 2,000 spaces, which is often used during peak holiday travel.
