Police ID girl killed on Queens bus
The New York Police Department has identified a 14-year-old girl who was shot and killed while on board a New York City bus. A search for the shooter is under way.
Police say Daja Robinson was shot in the head while on the Q6 bus in the southeastern part of Jamaica, Queens, around 9 p.m. Saturday.
A police spokesman says the shooter was outside the bus on Sutphin Boulevard.
Robinson was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The circumstances around the shooting were unknown.
Neighborhood residents were dismayed.
