The Suffolk County Police Athletic League is hosting fishing trips for children on the Great South Bay.

The outings will be held at the Captree Boat Basin in Babylon every Wednesday from July 10 to Aug. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $15 per child and includes poles and bait, plus cleaning of fish.

Children will be supervised by PAL officers and the staff of the boat, the Taryn-Ann. Up to 50 children will be allowed per trip, with a limit of two trips per child. A permission slip must be submitted for each date and must be received by PAL at least one week before the chosen date.

Permission slips are available by calling the Suffolk County PAL at 631-852-6109.
