Summer weekend concerts at Seaford library
The Seaford Public Library welcomes residents to enjoy a warm summer weekend night during its Summer 2013 Concert Series.
The free series titled “Music for a Saturday Evening” will kick off Saturday with Captain Jack, a Billy Joel tribute band with some Elton John and classic rock mixes. All concerts will be held Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.
Long Island’s award-winning country music group the Mary Lamont Band will perform July 20. Runaway Train, a five-piece Americana band from Delaware, will take the stage on Aug. 3. The final show is set for Aug. 17, when the group Turnpike Joe and the Traffic Jam performs classic rock and party songs.
The series is sponsored by the Seaford Lions Club, Seaford Chamber of Commerce, Friends of the Seaford Public Library and the Seaford Wellness Council.
All shows will be held at the parking lot behind the library, 2234 Jackson Ave. in Seaford, with the exception of the show on Aug. 17, which will be at the gazebo at the Seaford Rail Road station.
