This month’s installment of Town Focus is set in Levittown, where community journalist Erin Geismar will be working throughout the week.

Levittown is best known for its rich history as a model for suburbs around the country post-World War II.

Geismar will delve into this history and other aspects of the Nassau County community through talks with members of the Levittown Historical Society and those who grew up in the first Levitt homes.

Today, she’ll meet with Polly Dwyer, who is both of those things. Look for an interview with her posted later today and a story and video on the history of Levittown at the end of the week.

Have a suggestion for someone we should talk to? A favorite spot in Levittown? A great memory there? Feel free to share.

You can reach Geismar on Twitter, by email and in the comments.
