Veteran can win wedding gift package
Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano and the Nassau County Veterans Service Agency, with the Village of Westbury, the Viana Hotel & Spa, the Westbury Carle Place Chamber of Commerce and other merchants, have announced an all-inclusive wedding gift package to an honorably discharged Nassau County veteran or service person still on active duty and who is willing to be married on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, this year.
Only one veteran and fiancee will be chosen. There will be complimentary second- and third-place winners who will receive monetary gifts that will be announced at a later date.
The veteran must produce a copy of his/her DD214, if chosen. The celebration at the Viana Hotel & Spa in Westbury will include a guest list of a maximum of 50 people.
Arrangements will be made for the marriage to take place in the hotel’s ceremonial room if desired. The veteran will also have the use of up to 10 complimentary rooms on the night of Nov. 11 for the wedding party and guests.
The veteran and fiancee will have the hotel’s choice of menu and house drinks. Limousine service, a disc jockey, photo/video person and florist will also be provided, along with a bridal gown, favors and invitations.
Applications to the county’s Veterans Service Agency must be postmarked no later than Sept. 24. Winners will be announced on Oct. 4. For information, contact Joseph Pascarella at 516-572-6512.
