Long Island forecast: Partly sunny and breezy Tuesday, with chance of storms
Tuesday should be at least partly sunny, but breezy, with a chance of rain and thunderstorms at night, the National Weather Service said.
Highs Tuesday are expected to be in the low 80s. Expect wind speeds of up to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph, the weather service said.
Wednesday is predicted to be mostly sunny, with highs in the mid-80s. There is a slight chance of showers and storms.
Then, expect sun and highs around 80 degrees Thursday, followed by a chance of rain overnight, the weather service said.
More rain and thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon and night, and highs should again be around 80 degrees.
The weather should dry out for the weekend, with sun and highs around 80 degrees predicted. The fair weather is expected to continue into the start of the work week on Monday, the weather service said.
