Black Friday shoppers on Long Island would be wise to bring along an umbrella and a raincoat — there's a 70% chance of showers in the forecast. 

The good news is, according to the National Weather Service, by about 1 p.m., the skies gradually clear with plenty of sun and a high of 52 degrees.

Friday evening looks clear with a low about 36, according to the weather service.

Saturday’s weather will be the better of the two weekend days with sunny skies and a high in the lower 50s.

More showers are in the forecast again for Sunday, mainly after 4 p.m., and the high is predicted to reach the upper 50s. The low Sunday night will dip to about 46.

The sun returns for the start of the week with highs in the mid-50s for Monday and in the upper 40s on Tuesday.
