Submission Guidelines
Welcome to nextLI, a place where data and research strive to ignite conversations about Long Island’s future. We aim to be a platform for Long Islanders to productively discuss the region. That means:
- Full names and email addresses are required to participate.
- Submissions will be reviewed by nextLI staff, must comply with Newsday's Terms of Service and will be posted at our discretion.
- Responses are also subject to editing for readability and length.
To increase your chances of being featured:
- Be on topic: Each submission form has a specific prompt, off-topic comments will not be considered for posting. Please reach out to nextLI@newsday.com if you don’t see a prompt that fits what you’d like to contribute.
- Be respectful: No personal attacks, profanity, harassment or discriminatory language will be tolerated.
