Matt Davies' cartoons of the year
At the close of every year, Newsday Opinion turns its valuable pages over to this resident cartoonist to fill with some of my favorite drawings from the year. While COVID-19 and its diabolical variants exhausted us, national and local public figures seemed undeterred and continued to provide an energetic symphony of cartoon-worthy absurdities in 2021. While our politics are unlikely to calm down, my fingers are crossed for fewer global pandemic cartoons in 2022.
