Musings: What's the rush with holiday push?
We have barely put our Halloween costumes and masks away when — lo and behold! — there’s a Christmas carol on radio. It is still mid-November. Christmas arrives near the end of December.
November depicts crisp autumn days, falling leaves, cooling daytime temperatures, and approaching darkness around 4 p.m. — not Christmas carols.
Let’s enjoy the remaining colorful beauty of fall before we’re prematurely pushed into winter.
