Letter: Invasion of the robots and drones
I found it ironic that on Sept. 15, Page A35 told a story about banks looking at new technology [“New branch, no tellers,” Business], and on the next page was the story “Messing with restaurant industry: Robots making pizza” [Business, Sept. 15].
This is going to be a very interesting, changing world!
Uber will soon have driverless cars. There are more robots in factories, and drones delivering packages. The list goes on. If this trend continues, a robot in my home will soon be writing this letter to the editor, and it will be read by a computer sitting in the seat of whoever is reading it right now. The world is changing, and I’m not sure whether it’s for the better or for worse.
