Letter: School should stand as reminder
I respectfully recommend that Sandy Hook Elementary School not be demolished ["Panel: Raze, rebuild school," News, May 12]. The money could be used instead to plant an orchard of 26 trees around the school, to mark the 26 people killed on Dec. 14.
Also, the schoolrooms where the deaths occurred could be changed to become a library with educational and motivational themes. I believe this would be a better use of the funds.
