$1.8M Ocean Beach home comes with guest house

A Fire Island home with ocean views has dropped in price, and is now on the market for just under $1.8 million. The annual property taxes are $11,679.
Located in Ocean Beach, the house was previously listed for $1.95 million. It first came to the market last August, and dropped in price this month.
The house contains five bedrooms and three bathrooms, with a lot size totaling 2,475 square feet. This includes a guest house with a kitchenette and one half-bathroom.
The property sits on Ocean View Walk, and the name doesn’t lie: It directly overlooks the Atlantic.
"There are just so few properties that have ocean views," said listing agent Joan Woletsky, of Fire Island Sales & Rentals. "Ocean Beach has a limited amount of houses. This house had been lifted prior to [Hurricane] Sandy, so it has beautiful ocean views."

The en-suite primary bedroom is located on the second level and has its own private deck, which makes it an "oasis" for potential homeowners, Woletsky said. She added that the house could host a getaway full of bonding time.
"I think one of the best things about Fire Island is that it’s so family-oriented," Woletsky said, "because you don’t have cars. You can walk into town and spend so much quality time with your family that way."
