Median home sale prices rose as inventory dwindled last month on Long Island, according to data published by OneKey MLS.

Less than 1,300 single-family homes sold in March across Nassau and Suffolk counties, reported the multiple listing service that covers LI. In Nassau, median prices were $820,000, while Suffolk median prices were $655,000, data showed.

So, what did buyers get for their money in March?

Suffolk communities with the most amount of homes that closed at or below the median last month were:

  1. Shirley (23 homes)
  2. Bay Shore (17)
  3. Mastic Beach and West Babylon (16)
  4. Lindenhurst and Brentwood (15)

Nassau communities with the most amount of homes that closed at or below the median last month were:

  1. Levittown (26 homes)
  2. Hempstead (21)
  3. Valley Stream (15)
  4. Oceanside and East Meadow (14)
  5. Farmingdale (13)
