A cedar-wrapped contemporary home in Lloyd Harbor has dropped in price, to $2.6 million.

Built in 1987 on Seacrest Drive, the house boasts five bedrooms and 4½ bathrooms. It totals 7,600 square feet, sitting on a 2-acre lot.

"It’s a custom-built home, with geothermal heat," said Joyce Mennella, co-owner and broker of Lucky to Live Here Realty. She is listing the property with co-owner Elena D'Agostino, and Sari Eidelkind. "The mechanisms of this house are just outstanding."

The house is being sold by its original owners, Eidelkind added: "The pride of ownership just radiates as you walk through."

Several rooms feature walls of windows that provide panoramic views of the neighborhood and greenery on site. There is underground wiring in the neighborhood, which provides unobstructed views, said Mennella.

"It has mature, beautiful landscaping," Eidelkind said. "There are specimen trees carefully placed throughout the property to provide privacy, as well as perennials and different plantings, so all the air is green and filled with color."

There is a finished basement, complete with a bedroom, bathroom and 800-bottle wine cellar, along with a three-car garage and plenty of backyard space. The property also includes access to two private beaches: One is just for members of the Seacrest Estates neighborhood, and the other is for Lloyd Harbor residents only, said Eidelkind. Access to both beaches is covered in the village taxes, which are included in the total annual property taxes of $41,943.

These sellers have lovingly maintained the property for the next owners, the listing agents said.

"There are big, open spacious rooms with high ceilings," Mennella said. "It kind of feels like the homeowners were ahead of their time when they built it, and the house is so gently used."

The property is served by the Cold Spring Harbor Central School District.
