Softened by a span of grid-like windows, warm light falls on an indoor lap pool shaped like a quarter note. Beyond the notehead, a second set of windows frames Northport Bay.

Once owned by Anthony and Victoria Sbarro, of the family behind the Sbarro pizza franchise, this Asharoken residence is again on the market — this time, for $6.5 million. In 2005, the Sbarros sold the 0.76-acre lot on Asharoken Avenue for $2.7 million, according to property records.

"I think there's more stone, more marble in this house and granite than there is in all of Italy," said listing agent Shawn Elliott, of Nestseekers.

Built in the 1980s, Elliott said, the gated property hosts four separate structures: a guest house set up as a studio apartment, a carriage house, a pool house and the main house. Among the buildings, which cover 12,000 square feet, there are seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

"This house has got everything you could possibly think of," Elliott said of the main house, which is also equipped with a DJ and laser lighting setup.

The Sbarro family built the home as "their forever young house" on the beach, Elliott said.

"This house had a theme, and it was going to keep everybody young," he said.

In the place of spindles, a soft-black music staff wraps around a spiral staircase with a cognac-colored railing. Where the main staircase ends, its narrower counterpart begins. The screw-like staircase leads to a fourth-floor space with a view of the water.

Outside, a wide pool overlooks 150 feet of beachfront on Northport Bay.

The main house is heated by oil and hot water and cooled by central air conditioning. Annual taxes on the property, which falls within the Northport-East Northport Union Free School District, total $67,500.
