Effective Date: December 16, 2024
Newsday Customer Service Hours of Operation and Contact Information:
The Newsday customer service department is available to assist you Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday hours are 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM and Sunday 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Outside of business hours, you can go to www.newsday.com/managemynewsday to complete a variety of transactions, or you can leave a message on Newsday's voicemail system, which will be responded to at the start of business the next day.
Print and Digital Subscription Rates:
To subscribe or for questions regarding your current subscription, call 1-800-NEWSDAY (1-800-639-7329). To use our online form to sign up for a Newsday Print or Digital subscription, go to Subscribe. Subscription rates vary depending on, among other things, delivery days selected. The subscription price and billing frequency will be shown during the order process, and by completing the order, you agree to the price (including any applicable taxes) and the billing frequency of the subscription. All Newsday print subscribers receive full unlimited digital access during their print subscription term.
All subscriptions include full access to NewsdayTV which is valued at $9.99 per month and discounted at 100%.
Subscription rates may be guaranteed for a limited, initial period of time, for instance on an introductory or promotional rate. Subscriptions will automatically continue after the promotional or introductory rate period at the rate and billing frequency agreed upon at the time of your initial subscription, until one of the following occurs: (i) you cancel the subscription, (ii) you modify the subscription, or (iii) Newsday cancels your subscription due to non-payment.
Newsday reserves the right to change subscription rates at any time, for any reason, in its sole discretion. Generally, existing subscription rates (except promotional/introductory rates) will be increased on an annual basis. Intervals between price increases may be longer or shorter than one year, at the discretion of Newsday. Periodic rate increases are required to maintain the highest quality standards that subscribers expect from Newsday, which appear each day in Newsday in the newspaper main index, usually found on page 2. If your subscription price increases, we will notify you in advance and offer the option to cancel or modify your subscription before the new rate applies, and if you do not cancel the subscription, you agree to the price increase. By continuing to use Newsday's product or service after the changes take effect, you agree to the new terms of the subscription.
Promotional Rates/Promotional Gifts:
From time to time, Newsday may offer promotions to new print and digital subscribers or to current subscribers who agree to upgrade their subscription or enroll in automatic credit card payment (EZ Pay). The promotions may either consist of discounted rates for a limited time or promotional gifts and cannot be applied retroactively. Promotional rates will apply only for the period of time specified for the promotion, and the subscription will automatically continue thereafter at the then highest published subscription rate unless the subscriber cancels the subscription, or Newsday otherwise discontinues service for any reason. Any savings calculations appearing with new promotions are based on the cover price of Newsday, and for digital, the highest published rate. Promotions associated with new print and/or digital subscriptions are generally only available to subscribers who have not previously subscribed and pay by credit card for their subscriptions. Existing subscribers in good standing converting from a mailed bill to EZ Pay may be eligible for a gift card from Newsday. Starting a new subscription or switching to EZ Pay does not automatically entitle you to a gift card and gift cards will be given out at Newsday's discretion. Promotional gifts are limited to one per subscription and may not be combined with any other promotional offers. Age, residency, and other restrictions may apply to promotional gift offers. Please note that introductory and promotional rates and gifts usually require a commitment to continue subscription service for a minimum period of time, and that early termination fees may apply for cancellations before the subscription end date. For example, a recipient of a promotional gift card will be responsible for an early termination fee equal to the value of the promotional gift if any of the following occurs prior to the expiration date of the initial promotional period of such recipient's subscription: (i) the recipient cancels the subscription; (ii) the recipient downgrades the subscription; or (iii) Newsday cancels the recipient's subscription due to non-payment. Each recipient of a promotional gift card hereby authorizes Newsday to charge his or her credit card for any early termination fee.
Activation Fees:
All new Newsday print subscriptions will be subject to a $5.00 activation fee. The activation fee will be added to your first bill or your credit card will be charged at the time of your first subscription payment. The activation fee will also apply to existing subscriptions that are stopped for non-payment and then restarted once payment is received. Newsday reserves the right to change and/or waive the activation fee at any time, in its sole discretion.
Billing:
Subscription payment is billed or your credit card will be charged in advance of each billing period. Upon completion of a billing period, delivery, digital access, and billing will continue, unless the subscriber contacts Newsday to cancel the subscription as set forth below. If you do not notify Newsday to cancel the subscription prior to the end of the current billing period, delivery and digital access will continue on the payment method selected by you.
Payments made after a billing period has ended are considered in arrears. If payment is not made in a timely manner, Newsday reserves the right to suspend delivery and digital access until payment is received. Frequency and amount of rate increases, billing terms, and billing period can be changed at any time at the discretion of Newsday. Newsday will notify you in advance of material changes, and if you do not cancel your subscription prior to the end of the current billing period, you agree to the updated terms for the renewal and applicable subsequent renewals.
If you modify your subscription, Newsday may, at its sole discretion, issue a pro-rata credit for prepaid fees, which can be applied toward your new subscription. If you pause or cancel your subscription before using your prorated credit, any unused portion of the credit will be forfeited.
Cancellation, Credits and Refunds:
No Subscriptions Refunds. Except as required by applicable law, all charges are non-refundable.
- Digital Subscriptions: If you cancel a paid digital subscription, your access will continue until the end of the current billing period, after which it will be terminated.
- Print and Digital Subscriptions: If you cancel a paid print and digital subscription, you may:

Digital Access Policy:
All Newsday print subscribers receive full unlimited digital access during their print subscription term -- a $1,560/year value. Print subscribers will need to complete a one-time simple registration process to create an account ("Registration Account") and enjoy full, unlimited digital access to Newsday.com and any Newsday apps during their print subscription term. If you become a registered member of Newsday.com and/or the Newsday apps ("Registered Member"), you accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your Registration Account. You agree to provide true, accurate, complete, and correct information at the time of registration, and to promptly update this information as needed so that it remains true, accurate, complete, and correct. Your Registration Account is for your personal, non-commercial use only, and you may not create or use a Registration Account for anyone other than yourself. You may not impersonate someone else, provide an email address other than your own, create multiple Registration Accounts, or transfer your Registration Account to another person without Newsday's prior approval. No more than five (5) Registration Accounts may be created under any single print subscription, and all such Registered Members must reside within one (1) household. Newsday reserves the right to terminate your digital access if more than five (5) Registered Accounts are created under any single print subscription and/or individuals from more than one household access Newsday.com or the Newsday apps using any single Registration Account or print subscription. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for restricting access to your computer so others outside your household may not access Newsday.com or the Newsday apps using your name in whole or in part without our permission. If you believe someone has accessed Newsday.com or the Newsday apps using your Registration Account and password without your authorization, e-mail us immediately at helpme@newsday.com.
Print Delivery Hold Policy:
Newsday allows its subscribers to temporarily suspend the home delivery portion of their subscription while on vacation or otherwise away from home. Expiration dates are not adjusted into the future for temporary vacation suspensions, and a credit will not be issued. While on vacation all Newsday subscribers will continue to have full access to Newsday.com and any Newsday apps.
Premium Days Editions:
Each year, certain days on which we publish the Paper are designated as "Premium Days." Premium Days are typically certain national holidays (such as Thanksgiving) or other days on which we deliver a special edition of the Paper or other unique content (such as Newsday's FunBook) to all active print subscribers. A list of premium days will be published every day in the newspaper main index, usually found on page 2, along with Newsday pricing information. Premium Day editions are billed to your account at the rate of up to $11.99, in addition to the cost of that day's delivery. Premium Days are not included in stated, published or promotional Subscription Rates. Print subscribers will see a reduction in their then current subscription length (i.e., the related billing period) to offset the rates for Premium Days falling within such subscription term.
Christmas:
Newsday will deliver a December 24/25 edition on 12/24, containing additional content for 12/25. Subscribers will be charged for 12/24 and 12/25 at their current subscription rate for each day.
Missed Deliveries:
Should you miss delivery on any given day, you can contact Newsday at 1-800-NEWSDAY to request a redelivery. Redelivery is available if you call before 10:00 AM Monday through Friday, before 11:00 AM on Saturday, and before 12:00 PM on Sunday. If you call after the redelivery cutoff time, or do not wish the newspaper to be redelivered, your expiration date will be extended for each day of missed delivery. Times may vary in some areas of Queens and Eastern Long Island.
Placement:
Print delivery services are generally available only within Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens counties. The physical placement of Newsday when it is delivered to your home or business is determined by our distributors and/or their service providers. You may make a request for the specific placement of Newsday at your address, which we will communicate to the appropriate distributor. However, such requests are ultimately handled by our distributors and/or their service providers and we cannot guarantee that all such requests will be accommodated.
