Andy Pettitte should return soon; no timetable for Mark Teixeira
Joe Girardi said it “shouldn’t be long" before Andy Pettitte, who threw off a mound Friday for the first time in his rehab, throws a full bullpen session. Pettitte said he felt no ill effects Saturday.
As for Mark Teixeira, who suffered a left calf strain Monday, Brian Cashman said he doesn’t yet have a timetable for his return.
“He might get on a bike this weekend," Cashman said. “He’s feeling good, but it’s too early to say. It was a minimum of 10 days from the injury and we’re five days into that."
