Ah, the power of the Internet: A lineup posted on a video screen inside the press box at Camden Yards about four hours before first pitch Sunday listed Brett Gardner as the Yankees’ leftfielder and No. 9 hitter. Curiously absent was Ichiro Suzuki.

The “lineup” went out on Twitter (some as a straight lineup post from reporters on the scene, others with the caveat that this could be a mistake or a test lineup from the video people).

But it didn’t stop there. It went, as the kids say, viral. Yankee fans commented on it, questioned it, fretted about it.

Turned out it was a mistake on the graphic. Ichiro, and not Gardner, was in left for the Yankees. Never mind!
