The Mets signed four players, including a former pitcher for the Long Island Ducks, to minor-league contracts on Tuesday. They are righthander Buddy Carlyle, lefthanders Duane Below and Andrew Barbosa and first baseman/outfielder Marc Krauss.

Barbosa went 4-1 with a 2.82 ERA in nine starts for the Ducks last season. Carlyle, 37, went 1-0 with one save and a 5.63 ERA in 11 appearances with the Mets last season before undergoing hip surgery. Krauss is a career .188 hitter in 146 big-league games with four teams. Below last appeared in the majors in 2013 with Miami.
