The Mets announced most of their spring training schedule on Tuesday, though they still are working on lining up exhibition games for the end of March and early April.

The spring schedule opens March 3 against the Nationals in Viera, Florida, at 1:05 p.m. The home opener is March 4 against the Marlins at 1:10 p.m. in Port St. Lucie.

The Mets will play 29 exhibition games, including games against the Yankees, first at home on March 9 and again on March 22 in Tampa at 6:35 p.m. On March 23, the Mets will remain on the West Coast of Florida with a game against the Blue Jays in Dunedin.

The Mets also host the Red Sox on March 20 while a split squad will travel to Fort Myers on March 24. The Mets will face the Nationals and Marlins six times each with five matchups against the Cardinals.

The Mets have three open dates from March 31 to April 2, though some of those are expected to be filled by additional exhibition games.

Also announced by the Mets on Tuesday was the signing of righthander Stolmy Pimentel to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Pimentel, 25, posted a 3.97 ERA in eight relief appearances with the Rangers last season.
