The Mets are headed back to Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

MLB announced Sunday night that the Mets and Mariners will play in the next iteration of the Little League Classic on Aug. 17, 2025.

Because the Mets had been set to host Seattle at Citi Field that weekend, it will count as a home game for them. The teams will play in Queens on Friday and Saturday before heading to the Little League capital for the special finale.

The Mets played in the 2018 Little League Classic, beating the Phillies, 8-2. They played that game — and will play next year’s contest — at a tiny stadium known as Historic Bowman Field. Previously used as a minor-league facility, the ballpark now is the home of the Williamsport Crosscutters, a summer collegiate league team.

MLB launched the Little League Classic, now a staple of the sport’s summer calendar, in 2017 in conjunction with the Little League World Series, which is also staged in Williamsport this time of year.
