Nick Swisher eclipsed a milestone in grand fashion Monday night, as the Yankees defeated the Rangers, 8-2.

Down 2-0 in the bottom of the third facing a 1-0 count against newly acquired Ranger Ryan Dempster, Swisher hit a grand slam into the second deck for the 200th home run of his career, and 15th of the season.

"In a situation like that all I'm really trying to do is get the ball in the air, but you know, 200 never felt better," he said.

Swisher has hit 96 home runs in his four seasons with the Yankees. He also hit 80 with the Athletics and 24 with the White Sox.

The homer couldn't have come at a better time for the struggling Swisher. It was his first home run in the month of August, and he hadn't hit one out since July 19.
