Derek Jeter: I could see me somewhere else

Yankees captain Derek Jeter told ESPN.com in a Q&A posted Thursday night that he could see himself playing for another team one day.
"Well, if I wanted to keep playing, yes," Jeter said. "It's a business. People forget that."
Jeter, who declined an interview request after going 2-for-4 in the Yankees' 10-7 win over the Blue Jays, has one guaranteed year left on his contract for $17 million and a player option for 2014 for $8 million. If he declines the option, he becomes a free agent.
Tex want to play it safe
General manager Brian Cashman has set a soft return date of next Thursday for Mark Teixeira, but the first baseman is not sure yet.
"I don't want to put any timetable on it," said Teixeira, who has been dealing with a strained left calf. "We tried to do that last time and it kind of put unwanted pressure on everybody. We all wanted me to be back as soon as possible, and I wasn't ready."
Teixeira said Thursday the calf is "still tight and still sore," and he's headed to Tampa Monday to, as he put it, "ramp up the baseball activity," which would include work on the field.
Pettitte feels good
Andy Pettitte said he felt "really good" after his five-inning start Wednesday.
"Just a good soreness in all the right spots," he said.
Andruw takes a seat
Don't expect to see Andruw Jones in the lineup anytime soon. Jones is as cold as Ichiro Suzuki is hot. Jones is batting .137 (14-for-102) in the second half of the season after hitting .244 in the first half. "He's just struggled," Joe Girardi said of Jones. "He's scuffled and you look at what Ich is doing, we're going with the hot hand."
