Call him Daddy Derek.

Former Yankees captain Derek Jeter and his wife, Hannah, have welcomed a baby girl, the first child for the couple, The Players’ Tribune announced on Friday.

Bella Raine Jeter was born on Thursday, according to the verified Twitter account of The Players’ Tribune, which was founded by Jeter in 2014.

The Jeters were married in July 2016 and Hannah Jeter announced the pregnancy in February in an essay in The Players’ Tribune.

Jeter returned to Yankee Stadium earlier this season when the Yankees retired his No. 2 jersey and presented a plaque in Monument Park to the iconic shortstop on Mother’s Day.

He was asked that day about whether he was ready for the challenges of being a dad.

“No. I prided myself in my career to be prepared at all times,” he said. “Anytime I’m unprepared it makes me uncomfortable. I’m unprepared. From what people have told me, you just do it and see what happens . . . I’m excited, but at the same time I’m nervous.”

Jeter, who turned 43 in June, retired from the Yankees after the 2014 season. He ended his 20-year career — all with the Yankees — with a franchise record 3,465 career hits and a .310 career batting average. Jeter also won five World Series titles. He is eligible for induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2020.

It’s been a big month for Jeter. Last week, a group headlined by Jeter had its bid of $1.2 billion accepted by owner Jeffrey Loria to purchase the Miami Marlins.

Jeter’s former teammate, Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia, said he spoke with Jeter Friday. “I’m excited for him, everything he’s got going on in his life,” Sabathia said. “I’m just anxious to see him with a baby and doing that type of stuff so that will be fun.”

Asked what advice he’d give Jeter, Sabathia, a father of four, said, “Be patient. That’s all I can tell him. It’s rough but it’s fun.”
