Ramon Flores hits for the cycle in Triple-A opener
Leftfielder Ramon Flores hit for the cycle, going 4-for-4 with a walk as Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the Yankees' Triple-A club, beat Syracuse, 8-3 on Thursday.
Flores homered to right in the first, singled to short in the second, tripled to center in the fifth, walked in the seventh and doubled to right in the eighth to complete the cycle.
Second baseman Rob Refsnyder was 2-for-4 with a walk, centerfielder Slade Heathcott went 2-for-5 with a stolen base and first baseman Kyle Roller went 3-for-5.

SINGLE-A CHARLESTON
Designated hitter Abiatal Avelino was 2-for-4 with two doubles, and left fielder Chris Breen was 2-for-4 with a double, but Charleston fell to Lexington, 3-2.
SINGLE-A ADVANCED TAMPA
Righthander Brady Lail struck out nine in five innings, allowing just four hits as Tampa beat Lakeland, 2-1.
