Troy Tulowitzki shows at Yankee Stadium

Adding fuel to trade rumors, Troy Tulowitzki showed up at Yankee Stadium Sunday and sat in the Legends Seats for about half the game.
The Rockies' All-Star shortstop, who is on the 15-day disabled list with a left hip flexor strain, was scheduled to be on the East Coast this weekend. He flew to Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon to visit Dr. William Meyers about his lingering hip injury, according to the Denver Post. Meyers performed a sports hernia surgery on Tulowitzki in 2012.
Tulowitzki idolized Derek Jeter growing up and wears No. 2 in his honor.
"Maybe he was here to see Toronto," Jeter said with a smile.
There also have been reports that the Mets recently contacted the Rockies about trade possibilities.
Tulowitzki's appearance at Yankee Stadium came one day after the Rockies misspelled his name on his jersey giveaway night, spelling it "Tulowizki."
The 29-year-old was hitting .340 with a .432 on-base percentage with 21 home runs and 52 RBIs before landing on the disabled list.
Yankee Stadium security guards would not let reporters into the Legends Seats to speak with Tulowitzki. Guards said he left during one of the middle innings.
