There is at least one positive of sorts for Yankees fans after the team dropped the first two games of the World Series to the Dodgers: Ticket prices for the three games (if necessary) at Yankee Stadium have fallen significantly.

According to the resale site TicketIQ, as of Sunday afternoon the average list price for the games in the Bronx fell 28% after the Yankees’ loss in Game 2 on Saturday night.

The “get-in” prices, meaning the least expensive asking prices, are down 42% for Game 3, 38% for Game 4 and 40% for Game 5.

The “get-in” price fell below $1,000 in the Bronx for the first time since the Yankees won the ALCS.

None of which is to say tickets are inexpensive. The average list price for Game 3 as of Sunday afternoon was $3,019, and the get-in price was $948.
