Knicks sign Beno Udrih

The Knicks and point guard Beno Udrih have come to terms on a one-year deal. He signed for the minimum of $1.272 million, a league source said.
The nine-year veteran is a good pickup this late in free agency and fills the Knicks' need for a quality third point guard.
"Beno is a solid addition to our backcourt, where he will give us more depth and flexibility,'' Knicks general manager Glen Grunwald said in a statement. "He is a talented and experienced floor general who brings championship experience to our locker room.''
Udrih, 31, has averaged 9.1 points and 3.6 assists for the Spurs, Kings, Bucks and Magic. He should provide depth and leadership at point guard and strengthens what is shaping up to be a deep Knicks bench.
Presuming that coach Mike Woodson starts Raymond Felton, Iman Shumpert, Tyson Chandler, Carmelo Anthony and Metta World Peace, the Knicks' bench will consist of Udrih, Pablo Prigioni, J.R. Smith, Kenyon Martin, Andrea Bargnani and Amar'e Stoudemire, rookies Tim Hardaway Jr. and C.J. Leslie and 6-10 forward-center Jeremy Tyler.
The move gives the Knicks 14 players under contract.
