WNBA's Cappie Pondexter passes milestone of 5,000 points

Cappie Pondexter had 20 points for the visiting Liberty in Sunday's 93-88 win over the Tulsa Shock and became the 12th WNBA player to eclipse 5,000 points.
Pondexter, who has 5,003 points, is the second fastest player to reach the milestone.
Kara Braxton added 20 points and 15 rebounds, Plenette Pierson added 16 points and Alex Montgomery chipped in 11 for the Liberty (11-19).
The Liberty are in a fight for the fourth and final eastern conference playoff spot. They trail the Indiana Fever (13-15) by three games with four left to play.
The Liberty will host the Atlanta Dream on Friday night at 7:30 at the Prudential Center.
