Grizzlies trade Sam Young to 76ers
As first reported by the Philadelphia Daily News, the Memphis Grizzlies traded Sam Young to the Philadelphia 76ers.
The 76ers will send the rights 2005 second round draft pick Ricky Sanchez, who is currently playing in Argentina, to the Grizzlies.
Chris Broussard reported yesterday that the Grizzlies wanted to trade Young to get below the luxury tax line.
Young's minutes have been cut in half this year, and those minutes would probably continue to dwindle with Zach Randolph nearing a return. An upcoming unrestricted free agent, Young is averaging 3.5 points and 2.0 rebounds.
