Tomasz Adamek will be back at his home-away-from-home on June 16 when he takes on Eddie Chambers at the Prudential Center on NBC’s Fight Night card.

Fresh off a unanimous-decision win over Nagy Aguilera on March 24, Adamek (45-2, 28 KOs) is hoping to get back on the same role that got him a heavyweight title fight with WBC champion Vitali Klitschko last September in Poland.

Adamek, 35, is still a great draw in Newark and should put on a show against an talented and experienced opponent in Chambers.

As far as their careers are concerned, Chambers (36-2, 18 KOs) is in the same situation as Adamek. Chambers scored a unanimous-decision win over Derric Rossy in February. That win followed a knockout loss to IBF and WBO heavyweight champ Wladimir Klitschko March 20, 2010.

The rest of the card features one of America’s top heavyweight prospects in Philadelphia’s Bryant Jennings (13-0, 6 KOs) squaring off against Steve Collins (25-1, 18 KOs). It’s a good test for Jennings, the 27-year-old who burst on the scene in a big way after stopping Sergei Liakhovich on March 24.

Also on the card is Brooklyn middleweight Curtis Stevens (22-3, 16 KOs). He’ll face Marcus Upshaw (14-7-1, 6 KOs) in an eight-round bout. Stevens was on a role early in his career until he ran into Andre Dirrell at the Mohegan Sun Casino in 2007. Dirrell scored a unanimous-decision win over Stevens in that 10-round bout.

Stevens took a step down as he continued to fight in eight-round bouts against less then stellar opponents. He had a chance to step back into the limelight a little in January, 2010, but lost in a unanimous-decision (12 rounds) to Jesse Brinkley.

Stevens got back on the horse two years later, scoring a first-round KO of Romaro Johnson in a scheduled six-round bout at the Aviator in Brooklyn in March.
