‘Assault In The Ring’ wins Emmy for Outstanding Sports Documentary
We've written about this film several times. This week, it was honored with a Sports Emmy for outstanding documentary. "Assault In The Ring," from HBO Sports and Live Star Entertainment, revisits the infamous 1983 Billy Collins Jr.-Luis Resto boxing scandal and follows up on the lives of all involved.
The executive producers are Rick Bernstein, Eric Drath, Ross Greenburg and Barry Murphy.
The film topped other nominees -- “The Legend Of Jimmy The Greek” (ESPN), “The Lost Son Of Havana” (ESPN Deportes), “The Williams” (HBO Sports) and “Without Bias” (ESPN).
