Live, round-by-round upates of the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Saul "Canelo" Alvarez fight in Las Vegas.

Officials scores of the fight 114-114, 116-112, 117-111 for Mayweather. Incredible how someone scored that fight a draw. Newsday's scorercard read, 119-109.

Round 1: Very slow first round. Mayweather Jr. uses his left jab, even steps forward to Canelo. Overall, it was a feeling-out process. Mayweather, 10-9.

Round 2: Canelo looks clumsy. He's stumbled twice. Canelo goes to the body twice, that will help later in the fight. Canelo lands a left hook, but Floyd still won the round by landing more jabs. Mayweather, 10-9, Mayweather, 20-18.

Round 3: Fight is slowly heating up. Canelo is getting a little more comfortable. But Floyd is completely dictating the fight with his left jab. He also put a good right behind it on two occasions. Mayweather 10-9, Mayweather, 30-27.

Round 4: Canelo is trying, but Mayweather's speed is far superior. Floyd's piling up the points. Mayweather, 10-9, Mayweather, 40-36.

Round 5: Best exchange of the fight in the center of the ring. But Canelo needs to do more, Not enough pressure from Alvarez. Floyd is extremely comfortable in the ring and Alvarez is not doing anything to change it. Mayweather, 10-9, Mayweather, 50-45.

Round 6: Canelo is definitely not intimidated, but he stills needs to do more. Floyd's boxing is so superior, he's making Alvarez look like an amateur. Mayweather: 10-9, Mayweather, 60-54.

Round 7: That round resembled Mayweather hitting the heavy bag. Canelo had absolutely nothing to offer in response to Floyd. Mayweather, 10-9, Mayweather 70-63.

Round 8: Canelo finally wins a round. He pressures Floyd just enough to get the nod. If he has any chance of winning, he will have to do that each and every round from here. Canelo, 10-9, Mayweather, 79-73.

Round 9: Canelo is tired. Floyd is dominant. Mayweather's punches are extremely accurate, it's not letting Canelo get started. Mayweather, 10-9. Mayweather, 89-82.

Round 10: Canelo is spent. If he had anything left, he wouldn't have let Floyd off the ropes after that combination. Canelo is just eating punches and watching. He has really not mounted any kind of offense. Mayweather, 10-9, Mayweather, 99-91.

Round 11; Floyd's punches are blistering at this point. He is extremely sharp. He can cruise at this point, but he's still throwing. Mayweather, 10-9, Mayweather, 109-100

Round 12: More of the same. Two completely different classes. In the end, it was no contest. Floyd Mayweather was brilliant, cementing his legacy as the greatest fighter of this generation and one of the greatest of all time. Mayweather, 10-9, Mayweather, 119-109.
