WASHINGTON — Savion Hart and Bryce Cox each ran for over 100 yards and scored touchdowns and Georgetown rallied for a 21-20 win over Bucknell on Saturday.

A 12-play, 81-yard drive that covered nearly seven minutes resulted in Cox's 1-yard score and the Hoyas' first lead at 21-17 with six minutes left in the third quarter.

Midway through the fourth, Bucknell (3-5, 1-1 Patriot League) had a touchdown negated by a holding call and on the next play Josh Gray dropped a pass in the end zone with the Bison having to settle for Matt Schearer's 32-yard field goal.

Roman Pearson intercepted a deep pass to give the Bison the ball back at their 12. They drove down the field but Schearer's 36-yard attempt was wide with 4 1/2 minutes remaining. Bucknell's final possession ended on downs with a sack at the 50.

Hart and Cox each had 17 carries for 112 and 104 yards, respectively, for the Hoyas (5-3, 2-1). Danny Lauter threw for a touchdown and was intercepted once.

Tariq Thomas rushed for 15- and 27-yard touchdowns to give Bucknell a 14-0 lead. He finished with 145 yards on 25 carries.

Hart gave Georgetown its first score with a 40-yard run and the Hoyas tied the game on Lauter’s 11-yard pass to Nicholas Dunneman with 14 seconds left in the first half. But Ralph Rucker IV threw two passes to Nate Anderson to set up Schearer’s 43-yard field goal and a 17-14 lead as the half ended.
