Kerrin Heuser had three goals and an assist and Ashley Kolomechuk scored three goals of her own Saturday to lead No. 2 Adelphi to a 13-10 win over top-seeded and host Pace in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II women’s lacrosse tournament. Jill McFadden made seven saves. Adelphi handed Pace (21-1) its first loss of the season. Adelphi (19-3) earned a return trip to the NCAA Final Four in Winter Park, Florida. They will play Thursday against East Stroudsburg at 3 p.m.

BASEBALL

Molloy 3, New Haven 1: Ryan Hynes pitched a four-hitter, struck out five and allowed one earned run to lead No. 2 Molloy (42-12) over No. 7 New Haven (31-25) in the semifinals of the NCAA Division II East Regional at Mitchel Field in Uniondale. Sean Welsh went 3-for-4 with a run. Molloy advances to the Super Regionals for the second time in three years.

Northeastern 12, Stony Brook 3: Brett Paulsen went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI as Stony Brook (24-28) lost to host Northeastern (38-15) in its CAA regular finale. Evan Fox and Matt Brown-Eiring each went 1-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Erik Paulsen went 1-for-4 with a double.

Georgetown 3, St. John’s 0: Anthony Brienza and Paul Orbon went 1-for-3 and Jackson Tucker went 1-for-4 in host St. John’s (34-16-1) regular season loss to Georgetown (34-19). St. John’s enters the Big East Tournament as the No. 2 seed and will face No. 3 Georgetown in the first round on Wednesday.

Monmouth 30, Hofstra 3: Penn Sealey and Luke Masiuk went 2-for-4 with a run for host Hofstra (23-31) in their regular season finale.

No. 6 Hofstra will face No. 3 Northeastern Wednesday in the double-elimination CAA tournament.
