The Bucs said they’d spend big in free agency, and they have followed through on that promise.

Last night, they agreed to a five-year, $55.55 million deal with free agent receiver Vincent Jackson of the Chargers, and this morning, they signed two more high-profile free agents: cornerback Eric Wright and guard Carl Nicks. Both players signed five-year deals, with Wright’s contract going for $37.5 million and Nicks’ deal reaching the $47.5 million plateau.
