D.J. Fluker: I never accepted money at Alabama

D.J. Fluker says the controversial Tweet posted from his account this week did not come from him and that he never accepted money while playing at Alabama. The offensive lineman who most expect will go in the first round of Thursday's draft said his account was hacked and his agent and authorities are trying to figure out who did it.

"There are always people who want to see you do good and people who want to see you do bad," Fluker said Wednesday at an NFL Play60 event in Manhattan for some of the players who will be drafted in the coming days. "That's all part of life."

The Tweet that raised eyebrows and was posted yesterday (and since removed) read: "Yea I took $ n college so wat. I did wat I had to do. Agents was tryin to pimp me so I pimped them. Cast da 1st stone."

Fluker said he has not received any questions about the Tweet from the NCAA, the University of Alabama, or any NFL teams interested in drafting him. He also said he is closing the Twitter handle until after the draft "just to be safe."

Asked if he ever accepted money while at Alabama, Fluker said: "I didn't."

The incident has not taken any of the enjoyment of the week from Fluker.

"I'm not frustrated about it because at the end of the day it wasn't me," he said. "I'm just happy to be here. It's an honor to be here."
