The Giants unveiled their 100th season commemorative "Century Red" uniforms on Thursday, and they are a considerable departure from the team’s traditional garb.

The uniform features tan pants and red socks with blue and white stripes from the team’s inaugural 1925 season. The jersey — red with a blue stripe underneath white numbers across the torso — is a tribute to their 1933 season, when the Giants played in the first NFL Championship Game. Their new look also includes an iconic winged helmet honoring the 1938 champions as the Giants became a cornerstone in the foundation of the league.

The Giants said they will wear the commemorative "Century Red" uniforms "up to two" games this season but did not yet specify which games those would be.

All of the team’s 2024 jerseys will feature the team’s “100 Seasons” patch.

“I feel like it’s gritty and vintage,” Bobby Okereke said in the team's release.. “It’s a throwback to the 1920s, 1930s when they were out there just getting grimy. It’s a testament to all the guys who played before. They paved the way for us to play this great game.”

Added Kayvon Thibodeaux: “I like the fact that we stick to the legacy and keep paying it forward.”
