Deon Grant is back. And it sounds like it was just as much the Eagles that made him return to this team as the Giants.

"I felt like we started something here last year and we didn’t finish it," Grant said Tuesday after re-signing with the Giants. "When I have something like that in my hands, I like to finish and I think this year we can finish. And then with all the things going on in Philly right now, that’s the type of team I love to face. I’m a competitive guy so with them making all the additions they made I wanted to be on the other side of the ball to go against that."

Grant admitted that his addition to the team is "nowhere close" to the type of marquee changes the Eagles made. But he said Dream Teams are for Pro Bowls and there is no such thing as a regular-season Dream Team. He also pointed out that the Dallas Mavericks were underdogs and they beat the Heat (another Dream Team) in the NBA Finals.

"We’re definitely going to make sure it’s going to be a competitive situation and we’re going to be ready," Grant said.
