Geoff Schwartz is ready to go
Geoff Schwartz had an ankle packed in ice, a splint on his left pinkie and the attitude that he's healthy and ready to go.
"I played the last three games, I played extensively tonight," he said after the Giants' 12-9 preseason win over the Patriots Thursday night. "I feel like I've answered the questions."
Schwartz even saw his first reps with the first team, starting at right guard. He played some right tackle later in the game.
"We'll see going forward how it plays out, because we really don't know," he said of the projected alignment next week in Dallas.
One thing Schwartz does know is that he'll be part of that.
"It's always a sense of accomplishment when you make it through camp, and especially when you make it through healthy," he said. "I've missed out on that a couple of years. It's nice to be able to go into a game plan week right away, get going on the season and just help contribute to our team instead of sitting on the sideline watching us."
