The Giants signed first-year linebacker Ryan Jones, a product of Montana Tech who was briefly on the Ravens roster last summer but has never played in the NFL. Jones was waived/injured by the Ravens with a foot injury in early June after signing as an undrafted free agent following the draft. Current defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo was a member of the Ravens coaching staff last year.
The Giants also officially announced the signing of veteran defensive back Josh Gordy. On their website the Giants list Gordy as a free safety although he also has played cornerback during his five-year career. They waived linebacker Paul Hazel and defensive back Josh Victorian.
