Healthy Bradshaw does double Giants workouts
ALBANY - It seemed as though Ahmad Bradshaw practiced twice all of last season. Now the running back has done it twice in the same day.
Bradshaw worked both ends of yesterday's two-a-day workouts, darting around the field and looking as spry as ever. Most players coming off surgeries were limited to one session per day, but Bradshaw decided to go for both.
"Just trying to give it all back, get it out there and see how my feet feel on a hard day of work," he said between the workouts. He also said, "I feel 10 times better than I did last year.''
Bradshaw had surgery to repair cracked bones in both feet and a bad ankle during the offseason, injuries that kept him in a protective boot for just about every practice of the 2009 season. Tom Coughlin reserved judgment on Bradshaw after just the one day - "We have to see over time," he said - but was excited about what a healthy Bradshaw would mean for the offense and the team.
Defensive end rotations
One position all eyes are focused on in training camp is defensive end. The Giants have three players vying for two starting jobs there. Monday they worked it out like this: Justin Tuck and Mathias Kiwanuka played the ends with the first unit in the morning while Osi Umenyiora sat out, resting his hip. In the afternoon, Umenyiora was with the first group at right end and Tuck started at left end but was replaced halfway through by Kiwanuka.
