The Giants seemed pretty upbeat. You know, for a last-place team.

As the only squad in the NFC East without a victory so far this season, you might expect them to be packing it in and planning for 2013. But no! They actually looked and sounded like a team that will fight through the rest of the season (or at the very least the rest of the month).

When last we left the Giants, Tom Coughlin was talking about “a renewed conviction about preparation and practice” and “challenging our team as to whether or not all the time that we are utilizing, whether it be jog through, meetings, practices, or whatever, whether it’s being used properly.”

It’s only a 20-minute window that we saw of today’s practice, but the Giants certainly did seem to be refreshed and … convicted? They were running from drill to drill, yelling and showing energy, and seemed to be excited to be on the field.

So they have that going for them.
