Tom Coughlin has never been to an induction ceremony at the Pro Football Hall of Fame before. Mostly because it always happens while he’s getting ready for the upcoming season. But this year, he’s finding a way to get there.

Coughlin will join a contingent from the Giants – including president John Mara and the real owner of the Giants, Ann Mara, according to the Bergen Record – in Canton on Saturday to celebrate Bill Parcells’ induction. Coughlin, however, will not miss any practice time.

“I’ll leave after practice,” Coughlin said of his plans for Saturday. “Coaches will take over the evening meetings and then we’re going to go for the ceremony to honor Bill and be there for him as Giant to Giant. And then we’ll travel back.”

Practice on Saturday, by the way, is scheduled to end around 3:30. The induction ceremony begins at 7.
