Darrelle Revis left the game in the third quarter with a knee injury and will not return.

The Jets star cornerback appeared to suffer a non-contact injury at the 3:54–mark when his knee buckled as he tried to get in position to defend Miami’s Daniel Thomas, who caught an 11-yard pass from Ryan Tannehill.

Revis lay writhing in pain, grabbing his left knee after the play.

The cornerback – who missed last week’s loss in Pittsburgh due to a concussion – was treated on the field for several minutes by head trainer John Mellody. Revis eventually was able to limp off the field under his own power, but a short time later, he was carted to the locker room.

It was announced over the press box loud speaker that Revis would not return.

Prior to the injury, the cornerback was part of an impressive drive by the Jets defense. After LaRon Landry returned an interception for a touchdown to start the quarter, Revis recovered a fumble.
