DeVito says Revis is 'looking great,' calls Landry & Bell 'trained killers'
It's not a medical update by any means, but Darrelle Revis is "looking great," according to teammate Mike DeVito.
The Jets defensive lineman said during his weekly Tuesday radio gig on WFAN, that he saw the Jets cornerback at the team's practice facility earlier in the day and Revis appears to be doing fine.
The All Pro corner was diagnosed with a mild concussion after getting kicked in the head accidentally by teammate Bart Scott, who was running to make a tackle. Revis cannot be cleared to resume normal activities -- or play Sunday in Pittsburgh -- until he has a normal neurological examination (compared with his baseline score) and is cleared by both the team physician and an independent neurological consultant.
DeVito said the entire team is hoping Revis is well enough to play Week 2 against the Steelers.
"That's a guy we need to have out there," the lineman said.

DeVito may be 6-3, 305 pounds ... but even he watches his step around LaRon Landry. He "definitely is a scary dude," the defensive lineman said.
DeVito also called Landry and fellow safety Yeremiah Bell "trained killers in Jets secondary."
Now that's pretty high praise.
